What do you expect from your participation in the congress ?
I expect to increase my knowledge on ehealth and its cardiological applications by attending exciting sessions and getting in contact with fellow participants to create links for future collaborations.
What type of professionals will you be most looking forward to meeting on site ?
I look forward to meet representatives of the the Heart Team, to recall the motto of ESC 2016, such as cardiologists, engineers, nurses, patients organizations, industry representatives. They all represent an essential part in the deployment of efficient eHealth solutions.
According to you, what would most help eCardiology and eHealth to grow in the very near future ?
1- Initiatives to increase patient digital health literacy in order to increase patient engagement and activation
2- large scale studies to prove efficacy of eHealth solutions in maintaining quality of care while reducing healthcare costs (both direct and indirect)
3- proper policy at the level of EU member states to guarantee reimboursement for eHealth services.
