An invitation to e-cardiology delegates from the British Journal of Cardiology
The British Journal of Cardiology (BJC) would like to invite all delegates to register on-line and become readers of the journal.
The BJC has been published since 1993. It is the most widely read cardiovascular publication in the UK, catering both for general practitioners interested in cardiovascular medicine and secondary care cardiologists and allied workers. We have a print circulation and there are over 22 000 subscribers registered on-line. It is available free to health care professionals (HCPs), internationally at www.bjcardio.co.uk
We are increasing our focus on e-cardiology and recently appointed a professorial section lead. Also, we are soon launching a website and inaugural meeting (April 2017) on digital health care in long term chronic conditions, including cardiorespiratory, and diabetes.
The BJC provides a major role in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). One of our most popular activities is BJC Learning, where on-line e-learning programmes have been developed and offered to HCPs – free of charge, to complete, (see www.bjcardio.co.uk/learning) self assess and gain CPD credits via the journal. These include anticoagulation, angina, heart failure, heart valve disease, pulmonary hypertension. Other topics, include an obesity management programme, and treatment of dyslipidaemia.
We have other allied activities eg an educational website BJC Arrhythmia Watch (www.arwatch.co.uk) which is aimed at those with an interest in cardiac rhythm management (CRM) ie electrophysiology and arrhythmia management with drugs and devices.
